Top Gift Ideas for your little one: Must-Have Toys and Gifts for all ages recommended by Parents

From one mum to another - here are some top tips of things you could consider buying for Christmas, Birthdays or any occasion really!

I have gathered a few ideas that my parents and followers consider to be great buys, top toys, and items. Here you can see them at the click of a button.

This guide contains AF links for some items

Busy boards - little ones love these - they find it great to explore everyday items but they are made safe for little hands. They do come in different sizes but smaller ones are usually great for easy travel and a little cheaper too:

Bubble Machines - Babies and children of all ages love bubbles, a bubble machine can keep them entertained for a long time - they even come with lights and music now.

Vtech singing bear - this has been around for years but always a firm favourite - even though you will get fed up of hearing it. The great thing is this can be bought in other languages which is great if you are a dual language family.

Infact many of the Vtec interactive toys are worth looking at - depending on your little ones age.

Activity tables/push along versions - these are great as you will usually find little ones are fascinated by the variation these usually have. If they are already walking then a stable one may be better but if not the ones on wheels can encourage standing and first steps.

First baby/doll - this is a great way to spark their role playing and imagination - you can go super simple, soft bodied and already dressed or you can get ones with clothes and bits and bobs age depending - just try to keep it light as often children want to move the doll about.

Again different options with this idea and sometimes a little lightweight stroller/pram can be a nice thing to go with depending on the age of the little one.

Books & book collections - Children love books from very early on and books are brilliant for development. In fact you can never have too many. A firm favourite are the 'That's not my' books.

Water mats & Water doodles - For the younger babies still doing tummy time a water mat can be a good way to encourage tummy time - for older babies a water doodle (mess free drawing) can be a great way to spark creativity while not making any mess in the house.

Sit up seats - for those younger babies sit up seats can help to strengthen the core and encourage development. There are different types but below are the most popular.
